i was going through a magazine and came across an article "not so modern manners".its about a book that was written over 50 years ago called Etiquette handbook by Barbara Cartsland.
check out some of the things it highlights
JOB HUNTING
Women should wear stockings at an interview and if possible , a hat
THE SMELL OF SUCCESS
Never use cheap scent, much better buy toilet water of an expensive make and use a little more
ON MARRIAGE
Unless she is ill, a woman should get up and cook her husband's breakfastbefore he goes to work in the morning. it is bad manners to do this in curlers ,without lipstick ,in a shabby dressing gown and down in heel slippers
IN THE LIFT
Gentlemen should always their hats off in a lift if there is a lady passenger
AT HOME
Just because you are alone with your husband and not expecting company is no excuse for not looking tidy and neat
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SEXES
Women marry men for their money, character or social position . men marry women for their looks. all women know this and make it their very best of their appearance in order to attract men.
FIRST APPEARANCE
I hate the type of boorish individual who,i am told has hidden such a rough surface a heart of gold.Quite frankly,i am a busy person and i dont have time to dig
so which one amazes you the most and which one is not there any more that you would like back?

Hi,everyone, hope you are all having a very wonderful weekend. i just want to share my journey with the "hook" this year.so far it has been awesome and let me just add our bond has grown tremendously or should i say relationship?currently i am reading the encyclopedia of crochet techniques.it an awesome book by Jan Eaton.
for those who fancy learning how to crochet i would highly recommend this book.it starts out with the crochet essentials, stitches, projects, and finally the gallery.its a veru rich book
This book tells you ways on how to take care of your crochet hook, storing them and also how to maintain your finished crochet project all those yarning away with your crochet hook i hope you enjoy your journey
And i end this post with a quote,A book is the only place in which you can examine a fragile thought without breaking it, or explore an explosive idea without fear it will go off in your face. It is one of the few havens remaining where a man's mind can get both provocation and privacy. ~Edward P. Morgan

beaded key holder
hi everyone now that the holidays are here, the spirit of giving out presents is in the air.Although presents are not only supposed to be given out during holidays it only gives an opportunity to think of others.
so this Christmas i am giving out a key holder that i made out of metal wire, beads(mixed colored and different textures) and you also need a key ring.the mixed colors gives the key holder a lot of color though you could used one color.
*use two metal wire gauges.for the structure use a hard 17" and the soft thin wire for joining the beads to the base.
*beads amount depending on whether you want to fill up the structure or leave some space
*and a key ring to ijoin the keys with the made key holder.1910
steps on how to make the key holder 1.using the hard metal wire make a structure either an oval shape or a circle.make two loops to join the circle or the oval shape and also where to place the key ring 2.fill up the inside of the structure using the beads.start by rolling the soft metal wire at one point of the structure and then insert the bead in the soft wire and then roll the soft wire on the hard wire.do this til you fill up the structure.start filling ip the inside to the design and the extent that you want. 3.finally place the keyring into the loop and place your keys its a realy nice project .....hope the person i give it to appreciates it
