My Parched Inspiration

so it has been cold for the last one month or so,

but I am really glad the sun is out.

 

The last few months I have been feeling totally uninspired,

its like inspiration has walked out of the door.

 

I have been thinking a lot lately about my life so far and I have

come to a conclusion that I must stop thinking a lot about the future

all the time and start enjoying my present life that I have.

Enjoy the sun rise, the sunset, the walk in the grass as I admire the monkeys play.

Quite something

beyond everything i know that God has a purpose for me

and it is not to live an uninspired life.I speak life into my seemingly uninspired life.

I believe I am going through a phase ,everyone does, right? Where i feel like the world is closing down on me,and nothing seems to be working.I usually call it the dry spell.

so I have never done a post like this before.

Which is the a self encouragement post.

I hope I will encourage someone out there as I do the same to myself.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ  who strengthens  me.

Although nothing seems to be working right now, Christ will strengthen me through

everything that I am going through. The Bible continues to say in Isaiah 41:10

 So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

the fact that his right hand will uphold me gives me the strength to try it one more time.

I remember that nowadays before I leave the house in the morning ,I always pray that

God may guide me through the day and give me strength and victory in all I will

be handling through the day.

verse 18 of Isaiah says

I will make rivers flow on barren heights,
    and springs within the valleys.
I will turn the desert into pools of water,
    and the parched ground into springs.

 

this encourages me mighty that rivers will flow and springs sprout, and

my desert will turn into  pools of water and my parched inspiration into springs.

Color Blocking

 

Hi people, I hope you are well.

Its a new month full of new opportunities.

I already love the new month, but I think

its not new any more ,it being the 5th day ,right?

Anyway back to the topic of the day-colour blocking.

so it has been there for a while

and

 I believe its coming to diversify how we perceive colours

for instance a while back

it was deemed to be colour clashing if your outfit is not colour co-ordinated

ever thought of colour blocked crochet.so I took a journey to look for some

 so this is what I found

oh well this  colour combination is super

so in conclusion its possible to colour block crochet.

so I took up the challenge and make a blanket. Used black and red

I know its so common but I tried right?

put myself out there and came up with

this blanket

so I made huge granny squares and joined them.

 its been a long way coming but here we are ..

only the edges are remaining to finish it off.

so any ideas on what stitch I ought to use on the edges?

suggestions please ...:)

 

Keep Warm

hey good people, its bin ages since I did a post.

I have missed you.i hope you are well and keeping warm.

so its June and its terribly cold I hope July will not be this cold.

Cell Phones in The Air for the LADIES

Cell phones in the air,

As praises I declare,

For the women in this land,

I wish I had a band,

That had a tambourine,

And a violin.

 

 

She is always out of bed first,

To the kitchen, making breakfast,

Before the family heads out its well fed,

With thanks to GOD to ensure through the day they are well led,

Packs their lunch,

All packed with love, a bunch

 

As she runs her errands,

Thoughts of her family precious as diamonds,

Looking out for them,

From collar to hem,

Well dressed,

Always blessed

 

Ooh how they love the homemade,

A scrumptious Meal,

The clothes those are handmade,

Love the way to their skin they feel,

All women made

With all the zeal.

 

Happy women's day to all the hardworking women out there,

all your efforts don't go unnoticed.

 

Crochet Earrings #5

Hi all,

i hope you are well.

My week has been great.

Taking over from last week ,

on shapes ,

 this week i go with circles

they are far the most difficult to crochet.

Ensuring that roundness is maintained,

i must say

is not easy

 but 

i nailed it.

i used two colours 

brown and white.

the outcome was brilliant

they remind me of the sun..

kinda...

and since tomorrow

is Valentines Day

i hope you have a good one...

The days are going fast,

cant believe January is almost over....

I hope this month has been awesome for you.

For me, i believe it going on well

and

am loving some spontaneous things

 that am doing,

like attending a gig,

 not knowing anyone and making new friends....

thats a big step for a laid back

person like me.

i went for Chillage at the Village Market- a bowling event

that goes down every last friday of the month

i must say i will make it a point of going every month....

bowling is fun i have to admit.

Now onto crocheting,

Since i started the  weekly crochet earrings

two weeks ago,

i believe this piece is the most inspiring one that i have made so far.

i didnt have an idea of what i was making..

i just came as i was working on it..
